LISTEN TO THE PAINTINGS
LISTEN TO THE PAINTINGS showcases a unique collaboration with musicians, exploring the fascinating relationship between painting and music, both stemming from a shared constructive system. In these works, either the Fibonacci or the Langford numerical sequence was used. Compositions were crafted by permuting the original sequences, with each painting containing two to four permutations, representing different voices or instruments. The audio excerpts provided below allow you to directly experience the individual musical permutations depicted on the paintings. In the remaining parts of the compositions, the musicians‘ creativity comes to the forefront as they fragment the permutations and reassemble them into a piece of music. The original lenght of the music tracks is around 4 minutes. All paintings are executed in acrylic and resin on MDF as those presented in the section MIXED MEDIA, with dimensions of 50×50 or 50×67 cm.
