LISTEN TO THE PAINTING

LISTEN TO THE PAINTING – or perhaps I could say LOOK AT THE MUSIC – features a unique collaboration with musicians that explores the fascinating relationship between painting and musical compositions, both having their origins in a common constructive system. For the works presented below, I have used permutations of the Fibonacci and Langford numerical sequences to create the final combinations (Remixes) that define the path and the rules followed by both the painter and the musicians in their compositions.

The music and colour sequences are directly related to each other and together form the complete artwork. In addition, the musicians composed variations of these sequences, which took shape as a form of improvisation.
